Brief introduction of the speaker and the speech topic:Prof. Dr.-Ing Hartmut Opperskalski comes from University of Applied Science Kaiserslautern in Germany, and he is short-termly employed as the Department of Electrical Engineering’s foreign expert teacher now. He is the head of the institute of Energy Efficient Systems in Kaiserslautern, and his research interest includes: Industry 4.0, Electro Mobility, Smarts Grids and Security in Automation. In this speech, the history, definitionsand structures of Smart Grids will be presented, and AC and DC power applied in renewable energy are compared, and the concept of blind power are demonstrated, and finally some personal consumption and examples in Germany will be given.
